About this game
A funny artillery tank game: aim, pick wind, blast the destructible ground and yeet rivals into the sea. Play a Daily Duel that is the same map for everyone, survive endless Rampage waves, or challenge a friend to beat your shot count on the exact same map. Rubber chickens, banana bombs, YEET boots, mystery crates and unlockable hats. Free, no download.

How to play
Crater Clash is a turn-based artillery game in the spirit of Worms and Fortress. Pick an angle and power, account for the wind, and blast the other tank. Every explosion carves a hole in the ground, so you can dig yourself out, bury a rival or drop the floor from under their wheels. Anyone who ends up in the water is out.
Weapons
Shell is free and unlimited. Big Boom has a huge blast. Triple Trouble fires three shells in a spread. The Rubber Chicken bounces three times before it explodes. The Banana Bomb pops into five smaller bananas at the top of its arc. The YEET Boot does almost no damage but shoves tanks far across the map. Every player also gets one Nuke and one Poison Gas per match. The nuke does enormous damage but is heavy and wobbly, so wind throws it around and it is very hard to land. Poison gas leaves a green cloud for three rounds that poisons anyone inside it, costing 8 health at the end of each of their turns. Mystery crates drop from the sky with extra ammo or health.
Tank classes
Pick a tank in the Garage. Rookie is the balanced all-rounder. Heavy is slow but has 140 health, hits harder and carries the nuke. Scout drives much further and throws bananas and chickens but is fragile. Sniper shoots across the whole map and also carries a nuke. Trickster brings rubber chickens, poison gas and the YEET boot. Brawler shoves rivals around at close range. Every class has its own four weapons, so there are far fewer items to juggle in one match.
Play online
Choose Play Online to play a friend on another computer or phone. Use Quick Match to be paired with a stranger, or make a private room and send the invite link. The match runs directly between your browsers, with emote buttons for trash talk. If you pick different maps, a coin flip decides.
Modes
Daily Duel gives everyone the same map and the same bot each day, and you win by using as few shots as possible. Rampage is endless waves of tougher tanks, scored by waves cleared and damage dealt. Quick Duel lets you pick the bot difficulty, and Two Players is pass-the-device. After winning you can send a challenge link so a friend plays your exact map and tries to beat your shot count.
Maps
The battlefield is several screens wide. Pick Rolling Hills, Island Hopping, Red Canyon, Mount Boom or the floating Abyss, or let the game choose. In Two Players mode each player picks a map and a coin flip decides if you disagree. Dig a hole all the way through the ground and any tank that falls in is gone for good, and on the Abyss there is no ground at all, so one bad step off a ledge is instant defeat.
💡 Tips
- Wind pushes every shell, so aim a little into it and watch the arrows at the top.
- Drag-aiming shows a short dotted preview of your shot. Use it to judge the arc.
- Blast the ground under a rival on a hill so they tumble and take fall damage.
- Save the YEET Boot for tanks standing near water or the edge of the map.
- You get 25 seconds per turn. If time runs out, your shot fires automatically.
- Dig under a tank standing near the edge of a platform and let gravity do the rest.
- Press M to zoom out and plan a shot across the whole map. Arrows at the screen edge show where off-screen tanks are.
