About this game
Slither through a clean retro grid to gobble up glowing bites and grow your tail to legendary lengths. Steer your serpent using the arrow keys, WASD, or touch swipes while looping seamlessly around the screen borders. Dodge your own twisting body and chase your high score in this snappy, addictive classic.

How to play
Guide the serpent around a 20×20 grid and eat the glowing red food. Each bite is worth one point and makes you one segment longer. There are no walls: leave one side of the board and you come back on the other. The only way to lose is to run into your own tail.
You can't reverse straight back into yourself, so pressing the opposite direction does nothing. Turns are read once per step, so plan corners a beat ahead rather than mashing keys.
Why wrap-around changes everything
Without walls the board behaves like the surface of a donut, and the shortest path to the food is often through an edge. Early on that makes the game feel easy. Later your long tail loops across the edges too, and the hard part becomes keeping track of where it is.
Tips
- Use the edges as shortcuts while you're short and the board is open.
- Once you're long, sweep the board in long parallel lines so your tail stays tidy and predictable.
- Never turn into a pocket that's smaller than your length. You won't get out.
- Your best score is saved in your browser, and you can post it to the shared leaderboard.
