Demolition Rush

About this game

How many buildings can you level before the clock runs out? Smash floor after floor, chain TNT explosions, grab gold and clock blocks, and pick a new power-up after every building. But watch the windows: hit a person and you lose 3 seconds! Beat the boss towers, trigger FEVER mode, and climb the global leaderboard or the daily challenge, where everyone gets the same buildings.

How to play

You start with 20 seconds on the clock and a building to tear down. Every tap damages a block, and when a block breaks the floors above it drop down. Clear the whole building to earn bonus time and points, then pick an upgrade before the next, harder building. The run ends when the clock hits zero.

Wood breaks in two hits, brick in four, concrete in seven and steel in eleven, and tougher materials are worth more points. Every fifth building is a boss tower: destroy its ☢️ core.

Combos, FEVER and special blocks

Hitting quickly builds a combo that multiplies your score. Keep it going long enough and the fever bar fills up, triggering FEVER: double damage and double points for several seconds.

  • 🧨 TNT blocks explode when broken and damage everything around them.
  • 🪙 Gold blocks are worth five times the points.
  • ⏱️ Clock blocks add two seconds to the timer.
  • 🙋 People sometimes appear in windows. Hitting one costs you three seconds and resets your combo, so wait for them to leave.

Upgrades

After each building you choose one of three cards: Heavier Tool (more damage), Wide Swing (hits splash onto nearby blocks), Critical Eye (chance of ×3 hits), Hire a Worker (auto-smashes a block every second), Overtime (+8 seconds now), Union Contract (+3 seconds for every future building), extra dynamite, wider TNT blasts, more gold, longer FEVER, Safety Gear (smaller penalty for hitting people) and Combo Keeper (your combo survives longer pauses).

Daily challenge

The daily challenge gives everyone the same buildings and the same upgrade choices for that day, with its own leaderboard, so it's a fair head-to-head with every other player.

Tips

  • Hit the bottom of a column. Everything above drops down, so you're always hitting fresh blocks at the same height.
  • Time and damage upgrades beat everything else early on. Overtime is never a wasted pick when the clock is low.
  • Save dynamite for steel floors and boss towers.
  • Splash damage from Wide Swing never hurts people, so it's safe to swing near windows.
